Session Four - The Tower
[2023/11/28 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: Gggggggggggrrrrreeeeeeeettings Adventurers... some parties get to rescue comely princesses from ravenous dragons... you get to rescue a coarse old gnome from goblins.
[2023/11/28 16:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Honestly, a threat bracket commensurate to our capabilities.
[2023/11/28 16:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: as I recall it, Boddyknock has been dragged away and we just dealt with the last of the raiders, but now we're out of healing spells
[2023/11/28 16:11] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: who in the party is injured?
[2023/11/28 16:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: you are slightly injured.
[2023/11/28 16:12] Alicia Frakture: Leesha got healed and is okay I think
[2023/11/28 16:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana is injured.
[2023/11/28 16:12] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "If we try to back off they probably don't let boddyknock live much longer."
[2023/11/28 16:13] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I say we keep going."
[2023/11/28 16:13] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at Katana and Debben."Can you two make it okay?"
[2023/11/28 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "We don't know what they'll do, but we can assume whatever it is, it's an evil purpose. We cannot turn back now."
[2023/11/28 16:14] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): "i need to rest soon so i can heal everyone more thoroughly"
[2023/11/28 16:15] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Once we have boddy back," she nods to Dhalia.
[2023/11/28 16:15] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me she was doing her best to work out a way to bandage people better
[2023/11/28 16:16] Alicia Frakture: All right for now hop on my shoulder and do what ya can Dahlia." Leesha says."Let's go get him."
[2023/11/28 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana points. "They seem to have gone that way - see that tower?"
[2023/11/28 16:16] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me hops on ready to go
[2023/11/28 16:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: On to the tower?
[2023/11/28 16:17] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: is it a tower we recognize?
[2023/11/28 16:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's a plain and rather run-down tower, with a wall running round it, in a bad state of repair.
[2023/11/28 16:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: There's windows round the tower, all barred and curtained.
[2023/11/28 16:19] Alicia Frakture: Yeah, if they took him there, it's where we go
[2023/11/28 16:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: What you going to do?
[2023/11/28 16:20] Sonja Bikergrrl: ie., how you going about this?
[2023/11/28 16:22] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Does the tower have any visible doors?
[2023/11/28 16:23] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: and windows are barred with what?
[2023/11/28 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: Fairly standard tower, three to four stories tall, surrounded by a wall, with an outer staircase outside that leads to the tower with a sharp left turn half way up, going to an upper ground floor.
[2023/11/28 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: Bars.
[2023/11/28 16:24] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: metal ones?
[2023/11/28 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: Presumeably; you would need to get up close to determine what they are.
[2023/11/28 16:25] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Exterior stairs. Curious." She slows, checking for any sort of evident guards. "They'll be watching the door, how else can we get in? Dhalia, see any options?"
[2023/11/28 16:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Not overly curious; saves room in the tower, it's a pretty standard construction that also prevents concentrated attack)
[2023/11/28 16:26] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): flies up very high to look over the tower and see if she can collect any more information about the building itself
[2023/11/28 16:27] Alicia Frakture: Leesha checks out the barred windows to see if there might be any damage or something that might make the bars removable
[2023/11/28 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana concentrates while Dahlia flies over. "There is evil present! A small number, and no very great foes." Dahlia flies above two patrolling goblins, supervised by a hobgoblin.
[2023/11/28 16:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: From here, the bars look solid enough.
[2023/11/28 16:28] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): flies back down to tell Leesha and Debben everything she saw
[2023/11/28 16:31] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Just two? Maybe we can take them head on. Especially if I can get behind them."
[2023/11/28 16:31] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I can climb the wall while two get their attention to a different side."
[2023/11/28 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: Three... what are you planning?
[2023/11/28 16:33] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at them Open to ideas. Right now kicking the door opening and fighting seems appropriate, but I'm not usually a planner
[2023/11/28 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: You need to get past the patrol to get to the door
[2023/11/28 16:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: so... plans?
[2023/11/28 16:36] Alicia Frakture: Okay, idea. I distract the three you three get in and get him.
[2023/11/28 16:38] Alicia Frakture: yes it splits the party but I can keep moving
[2023/11/28 16:38] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: pair off and pincer-move the patrol
[2023/11/28 16:39] Sonja Bikergrrl: who goes with who?
[2023/11/28 16:39] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Leesha and Katana initiate, I and Dhalia finish them up."
[2023/11/28 16:39] Alicia Frakture: One healthy with one injured
[2023/11/28 16:39] Alicia Frakture: or we can do that.
[2023/11/28 16:39] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ( Sets me up to Backstab for massive damage )
[2023/11/28 16:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Let's advance on them, Leesha."
[2023/11/28 16:40] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben moves into stealth and circles around
[2023/11/28 16:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana approaches, moving openly through a gap in the wall.
[2023/11/28 16:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: The hobgoblin is seemingly rather bored. "They brought back another." The goblins don't seem over interested, but allow this does mean one of their number won't need to be sacrificed.
[2023/11/28 16:43] Alicia Frakture: Leesha reaches out as to ask Katana to hold."Dahlia, you good with this plan?"
[2023/11/28 16:44] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): "I'm ok and not too confused", she smiled and got ready to follow
[2023/11/28 16:44] Alicia Frakture: All right then let's go."And Leesha starts moving with Katana.
[2023/11/28 16:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: The hobgoblin and goblins almost don't notice Katana and Leesha, but even they aren't -that- stupid... they notice, and raise spears. The hobgoblin speaks. "'Ere, 'oo are you?"
[2023/11/28 16:48] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben utilizes the distraction to get into position.
[2023/11/28 16:49] Alicia Frakture: Leesha sees Debben and holds up her backpack."Yeah mutton on a mission. Someone order some food? We invented something called delivery."
[2023/11/28 16:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana nearly facepalms, but instead draws her sword. "We're the ones to kick your asses, evildoers!"
[2023/11/28 16:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia?
[2023/11/28 16:51] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me pulls out her 'sling of eternal inaccuracy' and tries to make it less cursed and loads it with a pixie dust covered stone
[2023/11/28 16:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay, roll initiative, d12, high goes first
[2023/11/28 16:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia too - green die
[2023/11/28 16:53] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks to katana."You could have given me that one. Try to confuse them for a minute or two."
[2023/11/28 16:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: Goblins go first... the hobgoblin stabs at Katana - miss. Goblins attack Katana, Leesa, both miss.
[2023/11/28 16:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia - d20 to attack with the sling
[2023/11/28 16:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: and, hobgoblin or goblins?
[2023/11/28 16:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: well... a 6 misses.... either way....
[2023/11/28 16:56] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me sighs and looks at her sling sternly ....
[2023/11/28 16:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben, you said backstab? d20, +4 to hit, roll over 14 to hit hobgoblin, 13 to hit goblin
[2023/11/28 16:57] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben next?
[2023/11/28 16:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: ^ ^
[2023/11/28 17:00] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: She moves up behind the enemy least visible to the others and stabs from behind,
[2023/11/28 17:01] Sonja Bikergrrl: hits a goblin; d6
[2023/11/28 17:03] Alicia Frakture: Leesha still has her backpack in her hand so she is swinging it at hobgoblin
[2023/11/28 17:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: waiting for Debbens' roll...
[2023/11/28 17:04] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: a { 4 }
[2023/11/28 17:04] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: before backstab multiplier
[2023/11/28 17:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: The goblin is shoved forwards and dies in extreme surprise.
[2023/11/28 17:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana swings, doesn't matter at who, that's a miss
[2023/11/28 17:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leesha, d20 - bag does 1d2 if you hit
[2023/11/28 17:06] Alicia Frakture: *Rolled 14 +2 so 16 if that hits teh damage is 2*
[2023/11/28 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: An injured goblin and a hobgoblin remain; the hobgoblin shoves the goblin forwards. "Kill them! I get help!" "Why me!" wails the goblin. Hobgoblin says: "Hurr! Because you big strong warrior!" And he starts running for the tower.
[2023/11/28 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: Goblin stabs at Katana
[2023/11/28 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: Miss.
[2023/11/28 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia next.
[2023/11/28 17:08] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): tries again to to hit the goblin with a dusty glowy stone, wondering where all the ones that have missed have gone
[2023/11/28 17:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: d20... roll over 14 to hit the hobgoblin, over 13 for the goblin.
[2023/11/28 17:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: and a d4 for damage - who's the target?
[2023/11/28 17:09] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): the goblin
[2023/11/28 17:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: The stone slams into the goblins' head with a loud CRACK. Mighty warrior or not, he's down, and not getting up ever again.
[2023/11/28 17:11] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me kisses her sling
[2023/11/28 17:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana charges after the hobglin before he can get far.... and lands a good solid hit that downs the guy in a spray of blood. The fight is over!
[2023/11/28 17:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: and on that note... cliffhanger! It's past 1am and I do need sleep.
[2023/11/28 17:12] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: woooo
[2023/11/28 17:12] Alicia Frakture: /me huggles MIstress."Nice cliffhanger"
[2023/11/28 17:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: yes... what WAS that about a sacrifice...
[2023/11/28 17:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: Sweet dreams, and roll some nat 20s in them!
